The campaign provides states, cities and citizens with simple tips and tricks to help them save water in their home and throughout the community.Water - Use It Wisely launched in Arizona in 2000. It has since expanded into a multi-million dollar campaign with more than 250 public and private water companies Nationwide.Interested parties are provided with customizable marketing materials that they can tailor to their city or town and use at their disposal.A study taken the Behavior Research Center pointed to the effectiveness of the effort by the amount of recognition within the community. The study said that after 18 months of the exposure to the campaign, there is 69 percent recognition and calls for conservation assistance jumped from 8,494 in 1999 to 14,649 in 2001.
